restoring bronze plaques to their original luster

Salt water damage as well as any other visual discoloration appears at the top layer of the plaque. When performing our standard process, we remove the least amount of material to preserve the bronze plaque.

We can perform on site services in some cases. Certain factors like weather, and equipment access can determine this.
In most cases, we remove the bronze plaque (if possible) and perform services in our workshop. We then re-install the bronze once the service is completed.
7 – 14 days is our standard project working time unless there are outstanding circumstances.
Direct UV exposure, salt water, irrigation systems, and chemicals used for either insect repellent or fertilizers used in cemeteries all play a role in degrading clear coat that is put on cast bronze plaques. In our experience, refinishes can last up to 10 years or more, depending on location.
